Yes it is true that we can find solace both in cooking and baking if we are suffering from any kind of ailments. These kind of activity can release your tensions and stress away about how you are feeling with your disease. It can also makes you feel excited cooking foods for your family and love ones. Foods are a gift from God that can heal our physical bodies as well our soul too.

Wow, poor woman! She indeed went thru a hell, I feel this story so close to my heart because my health issues are also coming from that area of the body. So scary to read what happens when your brain is damaged, but glad she could get her former life back :) She deserves a normal and happy life, she is so inspiring :)

Sorry to hear you're having health issues Trellum! But it is always nice to hear those happy uplifting stories. I hope that things with your health are easy to improve!

@cupcakechef Thank you, I'm sorry to say things for me are just starting, soon I'll have to go see someone else to get a second opinion. I'm not happy with the specialist I am seeing right now. He doesn't answer questions and barely listens to me! Sadly it seems it's all in my genes, I didn't get very lucky in that department.

I love how she reads the recipes from the bottom up now. It's amazing how the things we go through change how we perceive and experience things in the future. Her book looks to be a very interesting read. It's great that something we all love, baking/cooking, could help her reclaim her life. @Trellum I hope you find a good doctor that you have faith in. It's difficult to do that these days, so many seem to have poor bedside manners, and little interest in actual patients.

@Diane Lane Thanks, I hope so as well. Today is Friday though, so I plan to relax a lot and just enjoy the weekend. Life is short and we got to do our best to enjoy each day to the max. Have a nice weekend everyone! Stay safe and enjoy the weekend!!!

It sure is, I remind myself of that frequently. Tomorrow isn't promised. I normally stay in over the weekend, unless I'm walking on the trails/beach, but I have to run some errands probably tomorrow, ugh. Hope you have a nice one, and the weather is nice there!

Thank you, sadly weather over here is not nice! I could barely shut an eye last night, it was so hot not even the fan helped! It's a new day though, so I'm going to try to make the most out of it, going to go out in a bit, have lunch with my mom and probably to the movies :)

I did not read the entire story but it seems to be quite a read. I have been feeling so out of it recently and often I just want to go and bake something. I have been in quite a slump but have this desire to perfect a 'light' scone. I have had two attempts at scones recently and while they were good I want to have a really light one.

While I worry a lot about my health I have no hole the size of a deck of cards in my head (think I read that) and really should do what makes me happy right now. These stories always put you to think about your own life.
