Best Cookie Experiment

If you are the experimenting type when it comes to cookies, have you come up with any big winners?

I've experimented a lot with including natural sweeteners like fruit and I think pear sauce was a huge score. It then I love pears, so that might be a little exotic for some tastes.

No, I haven't gotten to that phase in my life yet. Plus it makes me kinda nervous to experiment with cookies, I feel I am more likely to experiment with cakes or brownies than with actual cookies. It's just I like my cookies to be crisp and melt in my mouth, I'm very picky when it comes to cookies.

I experiment with some of the treats I add to cookies like nuts, berries, and flavored chips, but not with the actual staple ingredients themselves. I am not as good of a baker as I am a food cooker, so I leave most of my experimenting to meal cooking.
