I am posting out of curiousity. I am doing a cake for a birthday party soon. Im not sure I have all the different size round cake pans that I need for it. Although I do have spring form pans. Most of the time I use my spring form pans for cheesecakes and havent had any issues with them leaking. Would it be safe to use my spring form pans to make the regular cakes?

Welcome to the forum! :)

Spring form pans are usually fine for cakes. Check the recipe for the pan size though, and if you don't have the right size you may need to adjust the recipe / cooking time to compensate.

What kind of cake are you baking?

I am making a child's birthday cake so I needed the different sizes for layers. I'm probably going to be doing different flavors in the layers to.

Ooh, sounds good! What kind of size pans will you be using? And what size does the recipe specify?
