    Whisk or food processor?

I have both a food processor and an electric whisk, in fact a metal whisk set that includes several pieces in different size and a silicon whisk. I think all of them are useful serving to different purposes. In example a quick one-egg battering makes unnecessary both the electrical whisk and...

Do You Put Cream In Your Coffee?

I love coffee with cream both, instant vegetable cream and fresh cow milk, but this was about 20 years ago. Later I prefer to enjoy coffee straight on a daily basis, and any variations including cappuccinos, added cream, mocha or others just eventually.

    Why Do People Use Margarine?

Margarine is not only cheaper, but also has less saturated fat if compared with butter. However actually margarine is not considered as a good option as it was on the past because this is made of vegetable oil that is hydrogenated to make it solid, hence considered a trans fat, which is...

    Brownies in the microwave...What?!

Not just brownies but I wouldn't microwave any cookie because this oven tends to dry too much all cookies and pastries, besides I feel it might be dangerous if overdone may catch fire, or at least think so.

Why is milk powder used in bread machine recipes?

I have realized about this fact because I'm aiming to buy a bread machine. However I have no idea why of this, unless is about mixing all powder ingredients to "air them" and get the bread rising better. I watched on TV a making-bread process that mentioned the quoted term above when mixing all...

Can I freeze dough and bake it later?

You can simply refrigerate it covered with aluminum foil if you are planning to use it again within few days, or certainly you can freeze the leftover, but it can also be frozen in aluminum foil well sealed for later use.

How can I best crisp the outside of baked bread?

I'm also seeking for an answer to get this done. Someone advised me to use the classic egg yolk dissolved with water, but this obviously changes the bread consistence. I found a recipe for a bread that is called in Mexico "bolillos" which have a crispy look. The recipe calls for salt dissolved...

    Baking Pastry Ahead of Time

Good point! Besides saving money certainly there is no need of more preservatives that sometimes we already eat from other cooking products we use.

    The Magic Bullet

First time I saw Magic Bullet I thought to get it, but I was in a tight budget and had to get a similar product that obviously didn't work as it should have worked. Now I'm waiting to have this or any other kitchen gadget jotted down in my wishlist for Christmas :)

    7-up bisquits

Even more interesting would be taste this bisquits with Seven Up Mojito, but I have only seen (and tasted) this version of seven up at some bars in the city. Haven't see the mojito version at any store and, of course, it has no alcohol, just more sugar and a mint flavor.
