What equipment did you buy but never used?

I think most of the things I got, I used at least once -- ecept the bread maker I've got when a friend moved and wanted to get rid of it. It wa this old thing and I had no idea how to use it... Other than this, I've been known to get desperate with tools that were hard to clean. My juice...

    Sea salt vegan goodies?

Has been bumped to second-spot now that we have tons of carrots and now I'm trying to figure out how to turn my grandma's incredibly vague and imprecise carrot cake recipe to a nice vegan carrot cake... hahaha XD

    Sea salt vegan goodies?

Oh my! I love choco-chip cookies, and most of all, I love those slightly salty chocolate cookies. Also, looking at the ingredients, it seems pretty easy! All stuff I have in my pantry. :D I am not a big fan of caramel (too sticky for me), but this recipe will be on my baking list of this/next...

    Sea salt vegan goodies?

I just wondered if any of you guys knew a recipe using sea salt? I've read that Moser Roth sea salt chocolate is supposed to be vegan, but they don't have it at my local Aldi. However, I've been so hooked on the idea of sea salt chocolate that I wondered if there was any vegan chocolaty and...

    Carrot cake

Should have created a thread called "Flour frosting", it would have gotten probably more attention -- seeing as carrot cakes are frequent subjects, but it really is the first time I had ever heard about frosting made from flour paste! Do you think it could be veganized with coco butter or...

    Carrot cake

Flour frosting? Intriguing, yes. The only carrot cake I've ever liked is my granny's. I'll see if I can get that recipe! :D

Shape cutter: how to make them not stick?

Wow, I've seen this kind of pans before, but somehow I never imagined they were made for cookies! >< hahaha But I wanted to make cutters cookie 'cause I bought really adorable shapes at IKEA on discount :) It's good to know that more flour has a better chance of holding up. I'll try that...

Shape cutter: how to make them not stick?

Yeah, it could be. But like I said; the recipe is s'posed to be for cookie-cutters. And it was delicious. I'll add a bit of flour this time -- I might have to just keep making the same recipe until I get it just right ;) (I know, your suggestion might be faster. But... hahaha.... )

Do we really need all of those kitchen machines?

I think that was me. I mean, I loved my juicer. It was great for not wasting fruits and even carrots and other veggies! But the cleaning? URGH. It was the worst. :(

Shape cutter: how to make them not stick?

Ok, thanks! I was trying before to have water on the cutters, I don't know why I thought it'd help... But I'll be happy to try it with flour! Now I have an excuse to make a second batch of those amazing cookies tomorrow!!! :D :D (I'm really too happy about the thought!) I also am eagerly...

Shape cutter: how to make them not stick?

I've made my first batch of cookies with cookie cutter the other day, thanks to the wonderful people of this forum. The dough would not stop sticking to the cutters though, making it hard to get the shape out. I had to press and try different things and the cookie would sometimes loose its...

Do we really need all of those kitchen machines?

A machine for brownies? A machine for cupcakes? A machine for pizza? Seriously... this is really too consumer-capitalistic for me. I have a tool for making those things: it's commonly called an oven. You just need the baking forms (which cost much less money, especially if you get it from a...

Baking Biscuits in your underwear :)

A Pastry Chef and A Baker

My SO is a baker by trade, though he had some sort of allergy to flour (I know! Irony!) so he had to stop, but basically, at least in Germany, a baker learns how to be super fast, multitask, bake bread from very early in the morning, sometimes in the middle of the night. He had to make different...

A recipe for chocolate chips cookie... in cookie cutter forms?

Be careful! They are very addictive! But a blast to make, yeah :) But I'm looking forward to see your results. Keep wondering if maybe there is something I did a bit off that the shapes blotched a bit.

A recipe for chocolate chips cookie... in cookie cutter forms?

Okay, people: I tried the recipe. The good news: IT'S FRIGGING DELICIOUS. I could not stop eating them. Neither could my SO or his mom. The cookie dough is amazing, the cookies a few minutes out of the oven were my BF's favorite, and I loved them most the next day when they were this amazing...

A recipe for chocolate chips cookie... in cookie cutter forms?

OH my god this is great! I love the way it looks. And to be honest, I JUST bought mini chocolate chips -- they were on special at Aldi, and I rarely find full sized chips anyway. It looks also... surprisingly not too demanding! One cup butter is scary though... ! I wonder what I could do to...

A recipe for chocolate chips cookie... in cookie cutter forms?

Sugar cookies are amazing, but I always feel like the quantity of sugar needed is... also amazing! Do you have a go to recipe for that?

A recipe for chocolate chips cookie... in cookie cutter forms?

Hi! I just bought a set of fun cookie cutters, with a big moose, fox, hedgehogs and squirrels at IKEA. I've never really baked with forms before -- I traditionally stick to chocolate chips cookie, because they are my all time favorite. From what I've seen my mother in law bake, it looks like...
