    Great British Bake Off 2016

    I am sure that the British have their specialties when it comes to the sweets just like every other culture out there. I always love getting to taste what others are known for, especially because traditionally the Polish desserts are not really anything too great. We specialize in salty meats.

    Lighter-Colored Chocolate Chip Cookies

    Yeah the brown sugar is definitely going to make them come out darker. Other than that though it probably just depends on how long you leave them in the oven, or maybe you could look into some food coloring and try to find some lighter colors there.

    Chocolate & Orange Cake

    I really like these two flavor put together. It makes me think back to these little freezer treats that we used to get. They were frozen slices of chocolate in the shape of orange slices, and they had that hint of orange taste too. I wonder what ever happened to those things.

    I would probably be the worst bakery worker out there, at least to start and before I really started to learn my way around things. I am just traditionally not the biggest sweet tooth, so it would not be a great place for me. I do have those things that I love, but when it comes to breadth...

    Big Soft Ginger Cookies

    I love ginger flavored cookies, and I actually just finished off a bag of some little ones that I get here that are delicious. I also like how ginger is good for the stomach, so they are nice to have around when you need to settle your stomach a little bit.

    That looks delicious. I am trying to think back and remember if I have had anything similar to it, but I cannot really come up with anything. I like the whole rice and something sweet too, and that is intriguing to me so I am going to have to keep my eyes open here.

    Pumpkin! :(

    I have never found the need to preserve them for the winter, so my only method end up in getting the seeds out and having a delicious snack to have on hand for some time. I hope that you find your answer though, so best of luck to you.

    How to fix too soft brownies

    I don't know if I ever have heard of too soft brownies, but I really really like the concept so I think I need to spend a little time on perfecting these. I do love brownies, but never take the time to make some, so maybe this will be that shot in the arm that I need.

    Carrot, Apple & Cinnamon bread!

    I cannot say that this is really a combination that you see too often, but that really makes me even more curious about it and more wanting to give it a try. I do like carrot bread, and apply and cinnamon together has never steered me wrong, so I am sure it is a good one.

    I would think that you can go ahead and do a test run. I hope that toasting them would not cause you lose anything, but you want to be careful, so I would say give it a try and see how they turn out and then go from there.

    I love sugar cookies too, so I am right there with you. I actually never really make them on my own though, so I am going to have to look to see if there are an recipes hidden around here. I cannot image they are too tough to make though.

    Seems like a good alternative to have on hand. I am not really sure if I can get anything like this at the local market, but there is only one way to find out. I happen to be going there later today, so I just might do a little browsing.

    New ways of doing things

    I am not sure about waffles in the oven, but I like the general theme of the article and there is some good stuff in there. The waffle one might be the last one I try though, just because I love my waffle maker though, but I can see myself using it in a pinch.

    I really can't say that I like the brand Hello Kitty or anything, just being a middle aged male, but something about them making a cake seems pretty good to me. I can bet that it is pretty sweet, but that is just a guess. I am curious now, so thanks.

    Cashew cookies

    I do love cashews, but I cannot really say that I have ever heard of them in a cookie, but I am very intrigued now and I think I need to expand my horizons a bit. I am hoping kind of a mix between nutty and sweet....sounds good though.

    Best Cheesecake with Blueberry Topping

    Few things in this life go better together than blueberries and cheesecake, in my opinion. This is always a favorite of mine, and cheesecake alone is in there too, but the blueberries just add that extra kick. I would prefer to have them as tart as possible, though.

    This might have been something that I would kept around in my younger days, and it sounds like it is really a good way to spice things up a bit, and relatively easy as well. I do not really drink that much anymore though, so anything alcoholic I like to leave out.

    I think we are all thinking the same thing here, that we probably should just exit out and never think about these things again, and try to pretend that do not exist. I will think in the short term though, and ignore the health concerns, because these look fantastic.

    Leek and Mushroom Quiche or Tart

    This one is definitely outside of my usual dishes in the routine, but I have to say that it is intriguing to me, but I am not sure why. I am still fifty fifty on my love for mushrooms, and it really depends on the texture, so if I can get that right here I can see a nice little dish to work in.
