Babycakes is a brand of cake makers that make minature versions of cakes, cupcakes and other sweet treats. (Some people have described them to be similar to Easy Bake Ovens for kids.) Some of the makers they sell are: Cupcake Makers Cake Pop Makers Dog Treat Makers Donuts Makers Pie Makers Waffle Makers Pie Pop Makers Whoopie Pie Makers Funnel Cake Makers Here is a link to learn more about Babycakes: http://thebabycakesshop.com/products/all For Christmas, my close friend received a Babycakes mini cupcake maker. While I was visiting her, we decided to try the new machine out with her two kids. The model she got was for mini cupcakes. The machine can bake about 8 cupcakes at a time. We got out all of our supplies and began to make them. We had to buy special mini cupcake liners to fit, but once we bought them, we were all set to go. The problem was, we could only make about 8 mini cupcakes at a time. With all the batter, we knew we would be making about 30 mini cupcakes. It took us well over an hour to make all of these mini cucpakes! When you can only bake 8 at a time, and then you have to wait on each batch, it can really be time consuming! We agreed it would have just been faster and more efficient to use the oven to bake them! What has been your experience with Babycake products? Do you think they are beneficial and efficient? We found that the cupcake maker got incredibly hot! We did not feel comfortable allowing her kids to make them on their own. What have been your experiences with babycake makers?
