baking soda

Hi there!

I am about to starting making some chocolate cupcakes, but I only baking soda and the recipe calls for baking powder. Apparently if I triple the baking soda, that could work?

I have no cream of tartar and I can't go out - apparently that is also a solution.

Can someone please please me, thanks :)

Do not substitute baking powder with baking soda and 3 times the amount is wrong! It will make your cupcakes very bitter. Both work very differently from each other. Just find a recipe that uses soda.
