Blackberry pie tomorrow!!

I just got a call from my mother in law that the blackberries in her yard are ready for the kids and I to harvest. Tomorrow we will be going to collect our free bounty and I will be baking some blackberry pies...and jam with the leftovers!

Oh yes, ice cream is a must. I picked enough for 2 pies and am going to go back in a week or two to get some more. The bushes were only about half ripe. We will be eating blackberries for months!

My daughter and I picked berries for about an hour and we came out with enough for 3 pies and one jar of jam. Next week we will be going for blueberries. The best part is that the pies are virtually free.
