Blue Velvet Cupcakes

We had to do a dessert bar for an usher day at our church. We made the theme blue because most of their uniforms are blue. Blue velvet cupakes, blue cake pops, cookies and brownies were what we used to feed about 85 people.

I've heard of Blue Suede Cake, but never Blue Velvet cupcakes.

I loved themed events like that! I've seen blue velvet cupcake mix at my local supermarket but I've never tried to make my own. If it's anything like red velvet I'm sure I would love it!

My mind would instantly think "oh....blueberry or blue raspberry". Which might be nice for frosting, but I don't know that I would like blue raspberry for cake flavor.

More than likely, its just blue colored cake.
