Carrot Cake needed

I am looking for a good carrot cake recipe i have tried many and they just don't seem right, I have used pineapple in with them, coconut and many other ingredients but i cannot seem to get the balance right. Please help...

There is a carrot cake recipe on benstarr.com that I've always wanted to try. It's what he made to get himself on Masterchef. I know the secret to his cake is cardamom because I had to bring some back from the US so I could make one. I've just never got around to making it.

Carrot cake is one of my favourites and I can buy a little mini cake at a bakery we have here for less than $3. I just can't be bothered to make one simply because I want to satisfy a craving when I can buy one for so cheap.

The lemon cream cheese icing adds a really nice freshness to the taste! The only change I've made over time is to decrease the amount of mixed spice, but I guess that's a matter of personal taste. I only tend to add about half a tablespoon.
