Cheap fondant?

Whenever I search the grocery store for fondant, it's always ridiculously expensive. Are there any cheap options? Does anyone know a cheap method for making fondant yourself?

If you have a local craft store that sells fondant , you can use a coupon to save money. Micheles , AC Moore , and Hobby Lobby all sell fondant. If you don't have one of those in your area look up marshmallow fondant , you can make it at home easily and inexpensively.

what style of fondant? there is the pourable kind, and then their is the kind you mold and shape to cover cakes, and then there is the candy, that Rosie327 posted.

To cover cakes, here is a simple method. I tried it and it worked, but i am just not into fondant....... just a preference
