Hi, I interested in making donuts soon and my absolute favorite flavor is Boston cream. In the past I have made many different recipes of custards, crème anglaise, pastry cream etc… and it’s really not the flavor I’m trying to go for in a donut. I have looked it up and found that commercial cream fillings are actually made with very different ingredients than homemade ones, which explains why I like donut shop Boston cream fillings but not homemade. Does anyone know how I could go about making a commercial like Boston cream filling? For example, here are a couple ingredients lists for some online:
