Cookie Cutter Size

I haven't had much luck in the past doing cut-out cookies, but my kids are getting old enough that I thought I'd give it another try. I got some cute Christmas themed cookie cutters, but all the recipes I've found are talking about 2 inch sized cutters. Mine look about four inches although because of the shapes nothing is further than an inch from the edge. Will that work? Suggestions on how to adjust the recipes? Thanks!

The size cookie cutter doesn’t matter. It just means that you will get fewer cookies with each batch. You should be able to double your batch without any problems. Look up Julie Usher’s cookie and royal icing recipes. She is a noted cookie artist. My sister has annual cookie decorating party and uses Usher’s recipes for her parties.
