I used to get a type of cookie from a gourmet shop. They tasted very strongly of almond and they were crunchy and airy. Crispy and almost completely empty inside. I have tried to replicate them but I'm not sure what they were called. Does anyone have a clue what I'm talking about? Better yet does anyone have a recipe? BTW they were not meringues.

They could also be a form of almond wedding cookie. Wedding cookies (the kind I like) are very "airy" and seem to have nothing on the inside as it were. They usually come in lemon or orange (with the powdered sugar coating), but some bakeries do make almond ones.
