Cupcakes bubbling in the middle

Hello, I made black tea cupcakes, but the middle of the cupcakes rose up way too much; it almost looked like there was a boil on top of the cakes! I used baking powder and soda, and vegetable oil. Do anyone j of what I did wrong?

Did you use a madelaine recipe, thats exactly how they bake.
