Hey everyone!
I was wondering if any of you still keep a recipe notebook — you know, an actual book where you handwrite your favorite recipes?
I recently started one myself, and honestly, it’s so satisfying!
Do you write yours in a notebook or just save recipes online? Would love to hear how others do it! 😌

I keep a baking binder that includes the master formula (baker’s percentages of each ingredient and total), the standard batch, weight per unit, temperature. Mixing instructions are just standard mixing notations unless there is a step that needs detailed instructions. For me a standardized format allows me to read a formula in a way that is suited to my baking style. While I keep an electronic copy of formulas, it is more for developing a formula, so the files are cluttered with a lot of math notations. While I like to preserve the notes on development, I don't like to work withthem. The binder provides me a clean finalized copy to work from.

I moved everything into a mail folder, anything I see I mail it to myself and save in a recipe folder in Gmail, its usually just a link to a video, I work from my phone in the kitchen.

I still write out all my recipes on recipe cards. I have them in recipe boxes, labeled.
