Gluten Free Carrot Cake Trouble

Hi everyone,

So this is a first...I made a gluten free carrot cake using the same exact recipe I’ve used in the past, but for some reason, ALL the carrots and walnuts rose to the very top of the cake when it baked. Has anyone ever run into this issue or know what may have happened?? It looks perfect minus everything rising to the top of the cake .
