Granola bar are a great snack and perfect to take with you on the go. The problem is they are often full of fat and sugar. Many have more calories than a cookie. Does anyone have a recipe for a healthy Granola bar?

First of all, fat is fuel for your body. You need it to keep you going during physical activity and to keep your blood sugar steady. Eating a carb snack that is low fat will cause a blood sugar spike and drop even if it just whole grains. The added sugars are what you might want to resuce not include at all in a truly healthy recipe.

I would recommend using coconut oil as the fat because it is a very good fat for you. Instead of sugar, include raisins or some other chopped dried fruit as they are more natural, unrefined sweets.
