I have a jar of sunflower butter rattling around in the back of my cupboard. It has a pretty good flavor, but I have never cooked with it. I am thinking of using it to make peanut butter-type cookies. How do I figure out if I can just do a straight swap or if I will need to add extra ingredients?

I've never heard of sunflower butter so no, I've never made anything with it. You could always experiment with the dough as you go with whatever you're wanting to bake.9

Hi,
I have made oatmeal sunbutter cookies by just substituting for peanut butter. The texture was great, but the sunflower seed taste is very prominent. You really have to like sunflower seeds.
