Gas Oven Baking: Tips for Perfect Scones

hi there
I recently had to have a gas oven due to moving
Today was the first time ive tried to bake in it ,Ive tried scones followed the simple bbc recipe
put the oven on gas make 7 like it asks for and my scones have been in for 30 min! only supposed to be 12 to 15 mins
they are still not done and didnt rise
pls advise

I suspect that the scale of ovens differ, so... degrees of temperature are more precise. Could it also be lack of pre-heating? Although, half an hour is an awfully long time...

Are you sure you used the same ingredients you always use? Maybe you used another brand of flour? I have noticed some ovens don't seem to distribute heat evenly, the one I have is a bit like that. Maybe you need to discuss this with the person who sold you the oven.
