Hi!
Can anyone help with transferring a frosted layer cake from a cake board/turntable to a cake plate? It seems as if I cannot pipe a bottom border without it separating from the cake during the transfer. I always make sure the cake is well chilled before doing this, but it doesn't seem to matter. The border always separates from the cake. Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Depends on the size and weight of the cake. Two large and stiff spatulas will work up to a certain cake size/weight.

Piping the bottom border should be done on the serving board/plate in my view.

large burger flipper,
But I would have assembled the cake on the plate or a foil covered carboard cake board,
apply bottom border AFTER the cake is in its final resting place,
