A question arose today during Great British Bake Off.
Pastry week - Show stopper challenge was 2 types of vol-au-vents..
Matt did a his & hers style with him and his wife... He chose breakfast which is a solid choice

What would you pick??

I would be a dessert-type vol-au-vent for sure...I mean check out some of these yummies!

The chocolate/nut combination looks delicious!

Well I had no idea what a vol-au-vent was so I looked it up. Ummmm...YUM? LOL

I would be a cheesy one. LOLOL (I already make something similar with cheese, just not open on top so technically not a vol-au-vent) I actually want to make some vol-au-vents now. I would definitely these:

Thos heart shaped ones are fabulous! might have to try those out!

I thought they were adorable too! They'd be perfect for Valentines Day or an anniversary or something...just a nice shake-up from the usual vol-au-vent shape, if you ask me!

Dessert of brunch ;) I love chocolate, but I also love savory things and to me the brunch combines the best of two very different worlds, so why not? Sadly I have no experience with pastries in general, my experience is quite limited, but my oldest sister seems to be rather good at it ;)
