Kenwood Cook Chef XL question

I have recently become aware of a product by Kenwood called the Cooking Chef XL. Apparently you can easily make frosting, mix batter, curds, filling, and the list goes on and on. In addition to cakes, pastry, bread, etc, it also cooks. I am so fascinated by it. I have read really good reviews on it. Sadly, it does not seem to be available in the United States, where I live. I was looking at one and it was suggested to use a step-up converter since it works on 220V - 240V instead of 100V - 120V if using in the US. Does anyone have one of these that lives in the US?

The only Kenwood mixer I’ve seen for sale in the U.S. was at Williams Sonoma about six months ago, and it was the 5-quart model.

If you’re set on buying a European Kenwood, it’s safer to have a dedicated 240V outlet installed.

Honestly, most people end up buying more mixer than they’ll ever need or use. I own three KitchenAids in different sizes. Even though I bake almost daily, I rarely use the 6-quart—it’s just too large for most of my batches. But my 5-quart gets used several times a week. The Chef XL, with its 7-quart capacity, is extremely large. If you regularly make large batches—like 12 dozen cookies, multi-tier event cakes, or four or more loaves of bread—then the 7-quart size is definitely useful. But if you’re typically baking smaller batches, such as two dozen cookies, a standard three-layer cake, or one to two loaves of bread, a 5-quart mixer is more than enough.

The Kenwood Cooking Chef XL looks amazing I’ve read great things too! It’s true it’s not sold in the U.S., but some people do use it here with a step-up converter. Just make sure the converter supports enough watts (around 2000W). Would love to hear if anyone here has tried it in the U.S.!

Thank you so much! I have about talked myself out of it. I think I was initially excited over it, but after thinking about how much I would actually use it, it would not be much.

I wouldn't bother, I hate electrical work and it gets complicated.

Thank you so much! I have decided I am not going to get it. I also thought about what I would do if I had problems with it. If I had problems that required returning it, that would cost a lot of money to ship back overseas. Also, I don't think I would get much practical use out of it.

Thank you so much! Do you know if anyone who has used it in the US has written any reviews? I keep searching for some online, but I can't find any.
