Lemon tart -cheat & stop top forming skin

can I cheat making the Lemon tart by using jelly powder instead of eggs ?? And how can I stop the top Lemon filling from forming a skin on top ??

is it true some bakers put glad wrap over the top to stop from skin forming ??

I would just make lemon curd and dust with xxxxx sugar.
