Making mayonnaise cake only have lite Mayo any diffence or just in calories

Making mayonnaise cake only have lite Mayo any diffence or just in calories

The whole purpose of using mayonnaise in a cake is to replace the egg and add extra fat since Mayonnaise contains oil in addition to mayonnaise contains oil in addition to egg.

If you look at the ingredients label on light mayonnaise you’ll see the first ingredient list it is water.

But standard mayonnaise the first ingredient is oil. So if you use light mayonnaise you’ll end up with a drier cake. You might as will not even make the mayo cake if you’re going to use light mayonnaise.
