Hi everyone!
I hope this is allowed, but I'm both a hobby baker and a software developer, and over the last year I've been working on an app to help me keep track of recipes I'm testing out (like version control for baking), so I decided to build an app specifically to help me in the recipe development process (keeping track of changes between iterations, etc.). The goal is to make it easy to create a recipe, save different iterations, track changes between versions, organize notes from each bake, and gradually refine a recipe until it's exactly where you want it.
I'm at the stage where I'd love feedback from people who actually bake. I'm know it's not perfect (and actually quite simple rn), but I want to know what's confusing, what's missing, and what would make it more useful for recipe development.
If you regularly experiment with recipes, I'd really appreciate your help testing it. Any feedback, bug reports, feature ideas, or criticism would be incredibly valuable.
I built this because I needed it myself, and I'm hoping to make it into something other bakers will find useful too.
If you're interested in testing it, leave a comment and I'll send you the details (looking for 12 testers). It's a closed test to be added to the google app store, so I will need an email (whether I'll actually add it to the Play Store, idk yet, but even if I don't I will give you a useable app file if you want).
Note: The app needs to be on your phone for a total of 14 days to be considered a tester (haven't found the documentation for it, but other testing communities mentioned that 14 days is typically the length required).
Thanks!
