Mary berry Christmas cake tin

hello im new here and have decided to start baking to use it as therepy through the pandemic. Im a beginer but ive cooked the occasional cake and im fairly good at making basic bread but need advice on a couple of things. im having trouble sourcing a deep enough cake tin for marry berrys christmas cake the one you feed with brandy. i can find 23cm wide tins ok but cant seem to find one deep enough.any ideas ?

Assuming you are in UK. When baking in anodized aluminum, dark metal, coated metal you must reduce the oven temperature as these types of pans conduct heat way too intensely.


also check out Lakeland brand.

these cakes were baked from same batter, same time, same oven. Only difference was type of pan. Top cake was anodized aluminum. You can see how over baked the cake is due to the pan alone.

reduce the oven temperature to avoid a dried out over baked cake.
