I am wondering whether a layered matcha sponge cake would work with a thin dark chocolate glaze with honey or if the flavors would clash. Please bear in mind that I am very new to baking so I might be thinking complete nonsense.

I have matcha powder, ceremonial type, but I never got around to trying it.
