Paleo friendly flour

I have been researching the Paleo diet and for the most part it sounds good. The only problem is that sugar is not allowed and flour is made from almonds and other kinds of nuts. Will the traditional recipes that I use work well with these alternative flour types?

I think that they are completely different. My sister in law and I eat gluten free and she is always sharing recipes from this website: http://http://againstallgrain.com/ and she doesn't use any grain flour in her recipes. My sister in law actually eats paleo. I have Celiac, so I just eat gluten free, but the recipes are amazing!
