A dear friend and I were catching up by email and comparing culinary experiments, and she mentioned she was looking for inexpensive molds for "ciasteczka orzeszki, a Polish walnut-shaped sandwich cookie." Okay, challenge accepted - I saw there were molds on Amazon, though I think she prefers not to shop Amazon. I also found several with some wide price ranges.

These things are adorable! I've never heard of them before. Does anyone know this little sandwich cookie?

It seems most of the molds come from Russia, or in this case Hungary. http://etsy.me/2hBr0VY

I may have to put this on my wish list for next year. Vowing not to spend any more money on kitchen items this year. :)
