A dear friend and I were catching up by email and comparing culinary experiments, and she mentioned she was looking for inexpensive molds for "ciasteczka orzeszki, a Polish walnut-shaped sandwich cookie." Okay, challenge accepted - I saw there were molds on Amazon, though I think she prefers not to shop Amazon. I also found several with some wide price ranges.
These things are adorable! I've never heard of them before. Does anyone know this little sandwich cookie?

I may have to put this on my wish list for next year. Vowing not to spend any more money on kitchen items this year.
