Why did my chocolate chip cookies go flat?

So I made a batch of chocolate chip cookies. It's a recipe I've used before and the same ingredients. Previously, the cookies were nice and thick. This time, they were very flat. The only difference in the process in baking them was that I used my new stand mixer with a paddle attachment rather than my old, under powered hand mixer. Obviously I'm thinking maybe I over mixed the dough. Is this possible? The recipe called for 1 TSP of baking soda and 1.5 TSP of baking powder, butter was softened but still holding its shape. Dough was not chilled prior to baking, but I had never chilled it before and they turned out fine.

Any info would be appreciated.
