Rainbow Cakes

So, this is my 2nd attempt making rainbow roll cake (mini)
1st attempt totally failed.. so i only cut them and didnt roll them.. and 2nd attempt i success roll them only half and another half totally disaster..

So, i give up making rainbow roll cakes.. its not easy at all..

*trying to insert photo from my phone but i dont know how so i just upload file (pic) dont know it will work out or not.. still newbie here..

They look awesome! Bet it was tricky though. How did you get the lines between the colours so neat?

yes its time consuming but its fun :)

This is my 1st attempt but it cant be rolled so i just cut it.. my mom hate rainbow cake because she think the unhealthy artificial colorant there.. dangerous dangerous.. not healthy.. lol.. but i dont have natural colorants :( so i have no choice.. lol

I love the rainbow cake that Chester posted that looks like a wet dripping paint kind of effect! How cool!

I definitely think that rainbow cakes are some of the prettiest - I love how bright and happy they look!

yes, its so cool!! its like a masterpiece.. i wonder how to make that.. lol..

It's pretty easy....

After you frost your cake with buttercream, just use melted white chocolate with different food colors and then pour them over the cake (probably about 1/4 of a cup of melted white colored chocolate per each). The chocolate will harden up and "dry", so it looks like spilled paint.

There are other ways to get the same effect, but melted chocolate is the easiest.

Wow, your pictures of rainbow cake and rolls are awesome and so inspirational. Some colors seem to be too atrificial, but anyways we do not make these on daily basis. Now I know the small tips on how to make these, and have inspiration to try out making mine. By the way, I attempted cooking a rainbow cake once, but it totally failed, and the cake was ugly. Hope this time I have enough patience...
