Substitute Sour Cream with...wht?

I always make my banana bread using this amazing recipe which requires a cup of sour cream..but have now moved to new place where sour cream is hard to get hold of..I am looking for substitute options that wont compromise the taste & texture? Any ideas..? TIA

Id go with heavy cream.
Or make your own with cream , lemon juice and milk.

I usually substitute with full fat whole milk yogurt.
Made some killer banana bread just last week subbing in yogurt for a recipe that called for sour cream. I haven't really been able to tell a difference, while my daughter swears that she prefers it with yogurt.

Yeh me too, I make my own yogurt, its buttery almost. Store bought is crap. Full of starch and gum.
Once you have the yogurt its very simple to make cream cheese, far superior to store bought .
