Now that I've successfully (more or less) made pita bread, I'm wondering about making a nice flour tortilla so I can make myself a burrito.

I tried once before but they came out too think and solid, so I was wondering if anyone here makes them and can give me tips to end up with that soft wrappable texture you get at a good burrito place?

My experience with tortillas is that you have to roll them very, very thin. Which can be kind of difficult because the dough has a tough kind of texture anyway. I always try to stretch mine by hand a lot before I even start to roll it out. It probably depends on the recipe you use, so you will have to experiment. I will try to find the recipe that I use, (we just moved so everything is a mess right now!) I absolutely LOVE the taste of homemade tortillas over store-bought.
