Do you like other kinds of treats/sweets?
If so, what kind?
Do you make them at home or just buy them at the store?

One of my friends has a boyfriend who love Cheerios. He eats them all the time.
So I made him some Cheerios treat for his birthday a couple of years ago....

I just left it in the pan like this, cause I knew she wouldn't eat any, but he would probably eat the whole thing in one sitting!!!! LOL

My granny used to make me popcorn balls when I was little. I love those.

She also used to make me a baked apple instead of having candy or cake.

Granny's Baked Apple Treat

1 large apple (any kind)
Tin foil
1 "pat" Butter/margarine
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Brown Sugar

Wash, dry, and core the apple....keep the apple whole, just core it whole.
Place apple on center of large piece of tin foil (large enough to wrap it in).
Place a pat of butter inside the apple.
Mix cinnamon and sugar together and pour into the center of the apple.
Wrap up apple completely in tin foil.
Place apple in small baking dish (in case juices leak out).

Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.

Simple and yummie. Really good for dieters or people who don't eat flour/gluten.

***you can also substitute the cinnamon sugar with--
peppermint stick
2 butterscotch candy discs (or pretty much any good tasting hard candy)
tablespoon of Honey and two cloves
tablespoon of Maple Syrup and pecans
2 caramels
2 tablespoons Pie filling
2 large marshmallows
Stick of cheese (leave out the butter if you do the cheese)
other fruit bits

I also think you can do this in the microwave--
Substitute tin foil with a single serve microwavable baking dish with lid.
Bake on medium high for about 5 minutes.....depending on the wattage of your microwave.

Here are some that are filled with raisins, nuts, and caramel

The Cheerios treat looks so fun - my husband adores cheerios himself, so this could be something fun for me to make for him - a nice variation on the usual rice krispie treats!

Actually you can use any kind of cereal you like to make this kind of treat.

Might be a good way to finish off bits and pieces of different cereal boxes -- I guess you could just mix and match things and see what the result was!
