Vegan flapjacks

I made some vegan flapjacks today :)


125g coconut oil
100g brown sugar
2 tbsp golden syrup (or any other syrup)
250g oats

Melt together the coconut oil, sugar and syrup, and then add the porridge oats. Stir well until fullt combined, and press into the bottom of a lined baking tin. Press down firmly, and bake in a pre-heated oven at 160C (fan) until golden. Take out of the oven and allow to cool before chopping into squares. Voila!

These flapjacks weren't the chewy fudgy kind, they had a little crunch to them. If you want a chewy flapjack then you'll need to add about 50% extra oil and have a lot more syrup - probably around 100g, if not more. Obviously this will be far more unhealthy!
