if you're baking macarons its sure you'll encounter failed batches,
Velvet macarons look very nice and use those failed shells.

Dry them out in a warm oven, try 30 minutes at 250F.
Lets them cool and grind them in a processor.

Make your macarons and sift this powder over them, now heres a trick to removing all the excess on the tray before baking.

Notice where I put my thumbs to hold the paper from slipping.
