Weird Brownie Surface

This does not look good at all. Please help, I don't know why everything just gathered in the middle.

I didnt do anything different. Same measurements and process. This is the first time this happened. Usually the top woild just be nice and even, now it's looking like there's a peanut island in the middle.

Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.

Hello, sorry to hear about your brownie problem.

Not knowing your recipe in mixing method it’s difficult to troubleshoot.

But from the looks of it if I were to venture a guess I would say you have a issue with separation of the fats.

A separation of fat can be caused by a number of reasons:

too much fat in the recipe

butter and chocolate melted at too high a temperature for too long

fat in butter not emulsified as they are melted
