With the various amounts of cultures around the world. I've been wondering if you guys even celebrate Christmas?

We have celebrated Christmas before I was even born. Around my area it becomes a "happy city" as people just become more joyful. I guess it is because of the prospect of starting a new year and starting anew.

Do you guys celebrate Christmas?

I celebrate Christmas, in childhood this festivity was strongly marked by the religious side of the celebration itself, but including the mundane aspects that are portrayed everywhere.

As time went by, the celebration became more mundane than religious, and actually while I keep celebrating Christmas I hate its mundane aspect distorted by excessive consumerism, and it has not longer a meaningful religious meaning to me.

I think that I have developed my own concept about Christmas and stick to it, while don't really care what is going on outside, particularly because the magic of the seasonal streets decoration has also gone.

It is about celebrating the birth of Christ. That is the true meaning of Christmas.
I agree that it has become quite a spectacle however, if one keeps the real meaning alive, Christmas will always be a time of joy for the birth of our Savior and what he was about to face in his life for us.

So for me, yes, I celebrate Christmas. Time for joy, family, and fooooood!!!!! LOL

Atheist, I celebrate the holiday season. I guess I do participate in a lot of xmas traditions since they're all Pagan anyway and could hardly relate to religion/mythology anymore.

Basically family just gathers together for food, talk, and games.

I celebrate Christmas. It is a nice time of year, despite the cold. It is only my boyfriend and I that spend it together though because we don't talk to our families much. But it is still a holiday that I enjoy celebrating.

My husband and I stopped celebrating Christmas a few years ago when we found out about it's pagan roots. We are Christians, but I guess not in the traditional sense. Most people would call it anti-Christ like to call yourself a Christian and NOT celebrate Christmas. But we realize that it is not the true birthday of Christ, and it's mostly just commercialism. That said, we still love to gather with our family for food and celebrate the holiday season.

I love Christmas. Its such a magical time for both children and adults. I love all the family getting together and enjoying good food and good company.
