Hello. I am a novice baker. I toasted the macadamia nuts for a good 15min,chopped them up before adding into cookie dough. I made a standard oatmeal cookie. Baked at 350 for 14min.Baked my cookies but the nuts did not appear to be crunchy though. Any idea what when wrong?

I think macadamia nuts are just not crunchy. They are a softer nut in general. They likely absorbed some butter or oil from the dough when they got warm in the oven. I think that's just the way this nut is. It's easier for older people to eat though, since they are not hard like some nuts.
