I experienced the thrill of victory two days ago when I made my very first bread FROM SCRATCH. It was a simple banana bread but I still approached it with some concern. For one thing I did not have baking soda and had to substitute with baking powder. It was also the first time I baked with a glass pan.
In the end everything turned out well and my biggest critic (my son) told me he was so proud of me. It was gone in no time.
Do you remember you first major success baking? After probably more than 15 years of baking anything from scratch, I am still flying high.
