Tips for Better Decorating Techniques

Hello every one I need help with my decorating. My decorations just never seem to come out like I want them to. My main problem area is writing words and things of that nature. Does anyone know any good tips or techniques? Are there any specific tools that I need to use? I would really appreciate it if someone could help me.

Lots of people have that problem starting out. It just comes down to practice- a LOT of practice. All you need is a piping bag and the tip you want to practice with, as well as a sheet of baking paper or wax parchment and a printout of the words you want to write. Then you just put the printout under the wax paper and start tracing away.

It might take a few tries but you'll get the hang of it. I hope this helps!

Try writing with a tooth pick in the icing on the cake first then follow those lines with your piping bag like a stencil. This should help.
