I tried this recipe exactly same as mentioned in the link:

After baking, it looks perfect, rise proper. But for some reason, my cake taste very bad. It tastes bitter, soapy. I tried 3 times and every time, it taste same. I had to dump the whole cake in waste.
If any one can guide me, I will be highly thankful.

I am located in Germany, so I used the following ingredient:
1-1/2 cups unbleached, all-purpose flour --> type 405 weizenmehl
3/4 cup granulated sugar --> Normal sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda --> Kaisernatron
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder --> Normal cacao
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract --> Taylor & Colledge Bio Vanilleschoten Extrakt
1/3 cup canola oil --> ja! Reines Rapsöl
1 tablespoon white vinegar --> ja! Wein-Branntwein-Essig hell
