How to prevent doughnuts from shrinking when cut

Your dough is probably over worked tryHello please i just started baking new and i noticed my doughnut use to shrink after frying...what are my not doing right, will appreciate your advice.
- kneading for less
- letting the dough rest after rolling it out and before cutting
