It's amazing what recipes you can find on the internet and I found one for Jaffa cakes, one of the most popular treats in the UK as I'm sure Becky would testify to.
For a first attempt, not too shabby. The sponge has turned out nice and soft and the orange jelly filling tastes good. The only negatives are that I put a bit too much chocolate on, it should be thinner, and I really need to stop using cheap dark chocolate and use better quality, something like Cadbury's Bourneville perhaps, as the cheap chocolate I used has a bit of a bitter aftertaste. Cheap milk chocolate tastes fine to me, but not dark. But all in all, quite a fun process.
