Can Italian Meringue Be Frozen for Ice Cream Cake?

Hey y’all
I was planning to make an ice cream cake with Italian meringue on top (like lemon meringue pie) does Italian meringue freeze well? I want to put it on the ice cream cake and only slightly torch it.... I wasn’t sure if it would freeze hard or not!
