Hi, I'm hoping someone from the UK might be able to help. I've been asked to make a wedding cake, which I've done many times before, but this lady would like a funfetti cake. From what I've read, the brightly coloured ones are made with 'jimmies' from America, which aren't available over here unless you get them from Etsy or Amazon. However, I don't want to use them due to the artificial colours that are used to make them so bright. So my question is, has anyone successfully made one from 'sprinkles' available in the UK and what brand did you use? Thank you!

Making a funfetti cake with UK-available sprinkles is definitely doable. I've had good results using Dr. Oetker's Unicorn Confetti Sprinkles. They maintain their color quite well during baking and are easily accessible in most supermarkets here. Another option to consider, especially if you're avoiding artificial colors, is the brand Cake Décor, which offers naturally colored sprinkles made from fruit and vegetable extracts. They tend to be a bit softer in color compared to the vivid American jimmies, but they work wonderfully for a more natural look. Hope this helps, and best of luck with your wedding cake project!
