Honey vs Corn Syrup

Other than the fact that honey tastes sweeter than corn syrup, can I substitute one for the other on a one to one basis for pie fillings, ice cream, etc. ?

honey is rather expensive, either way when in doubt follow the recipe.

What kind of pie do you make with honey or corn syrup other than ice cream? I always use instant gel for filler.

Nut pies such as pecan or walnut.
