How do I need to alter a recipe if I am using a convection oven?

Most baking recipes require the use of a regular oven. I am wondering how to alter a baking recipe to use a convection oven. I actually purchased a convection oven a few years ago, but rarely use it.

I bought this GE convection toaster over some months ago, but mostly because I loved the idea to have a rotisserie. However my user guide says that there is no need to adjust recipes when using it, only to reduce the baking time for a quarter fraction of the regular baking time. The trick has worked for me.

The only adjustment that I have ever had to make is that I have to reduce the baking time by an average of five minutes. If I forget to do that, I have a tendency to burn things.
